I can smell her heady fragrance, the musky heaviness of her perfum mingling with her sharper more natural scent. I know she is here even without seeing her little black car parked so promisingly in the spot next to mine. Her seduction starts always with her patchouli and vanilla scented skin. A cartoonish pulling of me closer to her. With the turn of the knob I hear her laughter fill the room within, musical and contagious, tiny chimes clanging against metal bells, tugging the corners of my lips up into an arc before I even witness the beauty of her face. So much anticipation contained in such an infinitesimal moment between the swinging of the door and the turning of her face to greet me. Already I am drunk on her before even glimpsing the gleam of her eyes. How can I be so lost in her before even seeing her?
