Wondering

I am standing in a vast cave, stalactite crystals casting a shattered glittering echo of the night sky upon its reaching walls.  A still pool lays before me, eerie in its glow. With Her voice guiding me I slip into its waters, sulfuric and warm upon my skin. Her love a spell that wraps itself about my being and guides me, both in the direction I want to go, but also inwards. Falling deeper, swimming deeper, with each stroke. That is where I find myself. Small and waiting to be loved. Baby curls surround her face, while ancient tears spill down the soft curve of her rounded cheeks. I am shaking, uncertain, afraid. Her voice comes again, words wrap themselves about my frightened form, words of love, of affirmation, of encouragement to look into that small face. With a shaking breath I take her small hands into mine, and sit with her.

her pain is small needles burring into my flesh, the fierce rage of angry winds, of isolation.

Still I sit, her hands a tiny weight. Even as I feel her heavy sorrow pull at my limbs, even as mirror perfect tears blind me, I know this is something we can heal from. I pull her small frame onto my breast and let her pain wash over us.

As I rise I feel Her arms embrace me and push me forward. There in the middle of the lake he waits. Echoing hearts, twin sounds creating ripples in the water. With small hands pushing at my back and Her love spilling into me, out of me, I reach for Him.
