Encountering loss in two forms over the last week has made me reconsider what I want out of life. You never know when death will come or grief will strike. People come into your life and you think that they will be there, but time, attitude, life can take them away.
I know that true life altering decisions should be made with care. If not you end up like me in massive debt not really sure if/when you will be able to reap the benefits of what you invested your time, money and energy into.
Japan is calling my name. It’s reaching for me and I want to answer its call but I want to do it right. I need to take the correct steps. I am an impatient person. I want the quickest route but I know that if I try to cheat this I will end up sorrier than I am currently with my baking degree. I allowed other people to influence me into giving up on something I knew I wanted. I should have turned away then but I didn’t.
Now is another opportunity. I don’t want to look back on my life upon my death bed and think “I should have gone”. I feel changed by leaving T.H. I feel older. I feel just as unstable as I did before we got together but a bit wiser, calmer. I feel more prepared to ask the harder questions. This growth has given me the strength to say two things “I will not allow anyone else to have that much power over me ever again and I will reach my heights in life”
Time to strive for those greater places.
