A man is sitting beside me washing me in all his compliments and kindheartedness and I can only wonder would he still feel the same way if he knew I was gay? He says he is impressed with the kindness and harmony I project and all of these other grand overtures. I have just met him, I dont even remember his name. I only know that he likes to hear himself talk and maybe he just might be lonely. He kind of exudes republican to me, kind but conservative. So I am once again thrown back to wondering, would he be just as warm and kind to me had he not assumed that I am the heterosexual stereotype. A young college bound student, fresh, new to life, wandering her path with hardly any dust on the covering of her shoes. I am going to be a young teacher for the five yearold starving minds of America, childlike vioce, she will marry he thinks. You can see it in his eyes. But I'm gay, very liberal, stubborn and not at all the epitome of harmony. I am the vengful type who basks in her preys squimishness and I love to experiment with almost anything sexual. This to me does not seem the quite, young woman he automatically assumed me to be. He already said that I will find myself a nice strong man. No fucking thank you. Do I look like I am in need of a man, strong or otherwise?
Just a thought.
