Although still a teenager, I now know sympathy for the parents of teenage offspring. I know the over protectiveness that they feel as their loved youth learn to make their mark on the world and explore the different aspects and opportunities that life has to offer. But when does this exploration of self become detrimental to the morality that parents tried so vainly to instill into their children? I am not speaking of christian values and all the godly worries that pious self righteous close minded retro farts try to brainwash their children with I am talking about right vs wrong in the aspects of general humanity and self standards. When does this exploration cross the line into degradation of this morality?
Can one who was once so steadfast in their beliefs change so very much to consider what they once disregarded and wrote off as mindless, reckless behavior? These actions, do they lead to the downward spiral of the low life, the miscreants that make up most of the human population or does it lead to the world of enlightenment? Does this exploration and adventurism bring the explorer to the great liberal word of open mindedness and acceptance of unconventional lifestyles? Where is this openmindedness's limitations or is that too contradictive to the concept of acceptance and understanding?
Maybe this is where my conservatism comes into play and I cannot wrap my mind around these concepts.
Is it not considered hypocritical to hate and then do the very thing you so adamantly preached against?
Disillusionment:The condition or fact of being disenchanted
Enlightenment: to give intellectual or spiritual light to; instruct; impart knowledge to.
Does one have to go through life impetuously before they can know who and what they are?

Not all do, but it seems to be the path for the visible majority in our society. What is unfortunate is lack of enlightenment we see since the end of the era termed such; more often is a realization and/or transformation negative.
i know it was rhetorical, but there you go. ^^
